Watch Me LIVE Today!

Ok folks! Today it’s time to do it! Not only run the 42,2 km but live stream the whole thing with my Nokia mobile phone… The only thing I can tell you for sure is that this will be a memorable day for all :-) You can follow the livestream here in the left column or at SvD.se or of course at bambuser.com. Enjoy! or something like that…

I Had A Dream…

…that I literarily crushed all competition and won the Stockholm Marathon in an outstanding way! During the run I was honoured by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden who was jumping up and down in one of his beutiful hats when he realized that I would beat the world record by almost half an hour!

He was actually so impressed by me, my skillz and by me being really really good looking (thanks to my awesome clothes from sportamor.se of course…) that he offered me the hand of his daughter (to hell with that other guy) and invited me to the Royal Castle for a small gathering. It was a delightful day indeed.

Last Run Before Saturday!

Last few days have been hectic, nervous and of course filled with preps for the big run on Saturday. I just got back from my last run before the Marathon. Today I tried on all the gears and stuff that I will wear and use - including running with my start number attached to the sweater. Since I’m in the middle of a carb-bulking period I grasped the chance to have a Cornetto meanwhile. I really felt like I’m going to go through with this in an excellent way. Aiming for 3h16mins. Gonna be awesome times!

More Merch!

A Fed-Ex guy just popped by and dropped off these babies that travelled all the way from the Joby office in Genéva to our Bambuser office in Stockholm. Thanks a lot Lotta and the Joby team! Now it’s time to play and be creative about how I can use one of the Gorillapods to attach my Nokia to myself in a cleaver way. It could be hard to Live stream the whole 4-5 hours by holding the phone myself…

Meeting The Sponsors

Today I met with one of my generous sponsors - Joakim Friedman at Sportamore.se. He helped me cherry pick some of the finest running clothes one could ever imagine. He also told me;

“Jonas listen, running is not so much about speed and time - it’s all about the looks! You have to look good to be good!”

Since this is my first Marathon, who am I to argue… So now I look like someone from Sex & The City would look if they were going for a run. Stuff from Nike, Under Armour and Newline. Nice. Thanks Jocke!

At the eatery

From what I’ve heard, food is a major part of the prep before running long distances. I’m a tad late on the schedule but decided to give it a go whit the food-stuff anyway. It’s supposed to be good to eat a lot of calories or carbs or can’t really remember which one it was, but I think the burgers here got it all no matter what.

Oh well, what do you know

So I was pretty cocky this weekend at the insane party on Saturday, telling people I was going to run the Stockholm Marathon and Live stream the whole spectalcle… Little did I believe that my dear colleague Annelie would actually go that extra mile and arrange a spot for me to participate.. I should probably add that the Marathon is on Saturday. Yupp, that’s right. This friggin Saturday. 5/6 2010. Remember that date, it might be the day that i pass on from life on earth.

My best running efforts so far is the 12 kilometers around the “Brunnsviken” and since that almost killed me, I fear that hell will arise in 4 days from today. Well, anyhow, I guess I’m in it now and there’s no point of return.

I’ve already promised too many that I will provide them with the pleasure of following the disastrous event – live from my kickass Nokia N900 mobile phone attached to my Joby Gorillapod and equipped in stunning running clothes from fantastic online sport retailers Sportamore.se (Yeah, yeah who said product placement was dead)

So, the prep begins today. I’ve now got 90 hrs left…
